     On April 22, 2012, the congregation of Zion United Church of Christ of Steubenville voted to offer the position of "transitional minister" to THE REV. DR. CAROL VACCARIELLO, LPC.

May 20— We welcome back to our pulpit the Rev. Glenn Swope.  Rev. Swope was the pastor at Zion during the 1970's.  He presided over the merger of Zion E & R and First Congregational.  His wife, Carol, was a music teacher in the Wintersville (now Indian Creek) school district.  Both Glenn and Carol were active in the community, participating in music and theater productions.  Following the 11:00 a.m. worship service, a finger food reception will be held in the church social hall.  Members, former members, and friends of the Swopes are cordially invited to attend.
